ACEN 2018 Manga and Artists Alley Haul

Is it already summer?! How did half the year already end? I could have sworn it was February last week…

I guess the nice thing about it already being May (into June) is conseason. YUP. ACEN was actually a week or so ago, marking it as my second convention of the year. Usually I post a convention list of where I’m going but lately it’s all been up in the air. The only two conventions I know I’ll be attending in the near future are Colossalcon in OH (early June) and AX in CA (early July). Oh my where will I find the money for such an extravagant lifestyle (lolol) Continue reading

A Weekend in Boston: TD Garden, The Freedom Trail, Books, Harvard, and Foods

Hey guys! So I realized I didn’t post about this trip and wow, has it already been this long since I went?? (has no idea when she went). Now, as a bit of a refresher, I ended up driving out to Boston with my brother because he wanted to attend the Summer Finals for the League of Legends games. That was some 15 hours of just driving

We were going to watch the games for two days but we decided to leave a day earlier so we could explore. Honestly, we didn’t do as much as I usually would when I go out, but here goes Continue reading

My First Time at Indy PopCon and Indianapolis Area

Hey guys! So it’s been awhile since I last wrote up a post about my travels. For one, I’ve been cooped up mostly at home and second, well, I just haven’t had the desire to write about the times that I have gone out (because I wait too long)

But I went to Indianapolis this summer for Indy Pop Con (a pop culture convention) and while I was there I also checked out a few other places and figured I’d show you all some pics!

INDY POP CON

Usually I’m the one who hunts down conventions and then drags whatever unfortunate soul with me (aka brother), but this time around it was the opposite. My brother heard about this convention and thought it’d be a nice place to check out, and since it’d been awhile since I last went to a new convention I thought, why not? In terms of a convention I would give it a 4/10 score. It was held at the convention center in downtown Indianapolis but there wasn’t much of a crowd or panels or merchandise in the dealers hall… Continue reading

A Series of Posts to Help You Get Ready for Your (Possibly) First Convention [part 2: Budget]

Hey guys! I hope you all enjoyed the con-season post from yesterday (if you’ve read it already, we’re moving pretty quickly here) where I talked about useful items to pack. But as I was typing it up, I realized that post was useful only if you already knew what convention you were going to attend. And then this post started to form in my head

This time I’ll be talking about things you might consider before deciding to attend a convention. Most of it relates back to budget, Enjoy! And if anyone has any more ideas for topics I should talk about, let me know in the comments section

A Series of Posts to Help You Get Ready for Your (Possibly) First Convention [part 1: Packing]

Hey guys! IT’S MAY, and what does that mean? Convention season for Crimson has started this month (this past weekend actually)! And by convention season I mean “convention season” since I’ve had to cut down quite a bit on my outings this year

And it’s actually because of that cut that I now have more time to sit down and pass on my infinite wisdom to all of you young con-grasshoppers. If anyone wants my credentials for these posts: I got none (jk jk, I have attended like 2 conventions in my life, that makes me an expert, right?)

Now this was going to be one post but as I got writing, I realized I had quite a bit to say, so we’re going to have a second part later on this week. Possibly on Friday as I sit down and cry about the fact I can’t be in CA for the Sherlock Convention #CRIES
