Happy New Year!

It looks like it’s the new year in the majority of places at this point. I know PST will soon be hitting that countdown but then you also have places like Hawaii who are probably still spending those last few hours in 2019. Regardless, happy new years to everyone!!

2019 was an eventful year and while I was half asleep while welcoming the new year, I’m excited for what’s to come. I don’t really have many plans and I decided to forgo any resolution posts because they always flop (not statistically, I just never complete them). There are a few things I’m especially excited for but everything is under wraps for the time being

But I did want to make a quick list of things I was happy about this year:

  • I graduated in the summer. I walked the stage in June and got my diploma in August. Cheers to no more school!! At least for now
  • I came out to my parents as bisexual (tho pan would be more precise). To my mom right before the new year and my dad in the Spring
  • I am also grateful to all the new people I met this year as well as all the people I continued to be friends with
  • I got a job at a bookstore! Which is honestly not as awesome as I thought it would be but also it’s fun in its own way

Mentioning the bookstore job, I had a customer come in last week to say that 2020 is The Year because it means perfect vision (no prescription, 20/20 vision) and I hope that’s what 2020 brings everyone. There were (and are) so many terrible things happening around the world because of discrimination and tunnel vision and I hope that 2020 makes people realize that things are wrong and that they need to change

Likewise, I also hope it brings 20/20 on an individual level, that we finally find that focus on what’s important and let go of what is burdening us, even if that means people, blogs, and environments

Have a great one guys! Time to get ready for work

    • thank you 🙂 yes, i found i was lucky on my end, both for my parents reactions and because i’m very “calm” about not so great reactions, guess it’s those years of customer service kicking in LOL
